Project by Madeux Studio and Szymon Keller

This renovated apartment offers intimate interiors with a contemporary atmosphere and Mediterranean influences, blending modern design with organic, curved shapes. Its open-plan layout includes a kitchen, dining area, and a spacious living room with a dedicated workspace. The living room evokes a playful atmosphere, reminiscent of a summer beach scene—those carefree moments spent playing by the shore. From the sandy texture of the stucco walls to the furniture, every detail tells a story.
The bedroom is anchored by a romantic headboard upholstered in Manuel Canovas wallpaper, its rhythmic patterns echoing the charm of 1960s French bedrooms. Artisanal nightstands, crafted in Szymon Keller’s workshop, add a layer of texture and craftsmanship. Completing the serene atmosphere is a raffia wardrobe, thoughtfully designed by Madeux Studio to promote airflow and prevent humidity, enhancing the sense of effortless comfort throughout the room.

Guest Bathroom: Modernist Calm
The house features two bathrooms, each with its own distinct character. This guest bathroom draws inspiration from the owner’s nostalgia for French modernism. A delicate balance between organic and geometric forms defines the vanity, where curved lines conceal a bathtub in earthy tones. The result is a serene, spa-like atmosphere that offers refuge and tranquility. Adding a touch of romance, a soft curtain covers the glass doors, creating an inviting and intimate space.

A Balance of Past and Present
The kitchen blends architecture and functionality, wrapping around a central island and dining area finished in warm wood that contrasts with the stucco and lacquered cabinetry. Sand- and lilac-toned marble countertops add a refined, elegant touch.
Opening directly onto a terrace with a lounge area and a vintage 1960s bar, the kitchen reflects the apartment’s celebration of reclaimed pieces.
Highlights include metallic wall sconces from southern France and Spanish Brutalist stools sourced from Barcelona dealer Armando de David. These vintage elements harmonize with contemporary and collectible design pieces, embodying the home’s cultural essence.
